Biography

Born in 1982, this perfectionist Dj bought his first Technics 1200MKII when he was 15. He spent his first year training hard and started animating student parties and birthdays.

Using the nickname “Dj RobY” till 2004, this French deejay has built a solid reputation from his first sets thanks to his amazing ability to make slow and long transitions between his selected records. Indeed, LoGiX is from this kind of deejays who really think that putting two songs together for less than 3 minutes is not really mixing.

Purist, he only worked with vinyl because of the great sensations it gives. He spent most of his student pocket money on buying the new releases usually imported from England.

After mixing in students parties he got his first house gigs at “HDS”, a 3 floors nightclub. This is during this period that he learned how to play with the crowd and was invited to play a 2 hours set at the Hilton Hotel in Marseilles.

Then, it did not take long before he got his first residency at the “Ptit Truc” pub in Lyon where he improved his technic and found his own style. He created the “Teckhouse Sessions” which received a great welcoming from the customers.

The success of this event was amazing and after a nice report on the web magazine Lyonclubbing he was proposed to work for the biggest pub in Lyon “The Ayers Rock Caf”. There he started to get his own audience with people coming to dance on his sets every Fridays as he became the new resident deejay and one sunday per month for the “House Party”.

From that point he was invited to play in the best places in Lyon and played some sets on radio. For example, he was invited to play 2 nights at the “Nuits sonnores 2003” along with prestigious djs like Agoria, Green Velvet, Da Fresh, Dave Clark, Felix Da Housecat, Spider and Todd Terry just to name a few.

Then he moved to Philadelphia for his studies and chose Dj LoGiX as his new scene name. There he played at “24”, one of the best place in the city for Techno music. The crowd there was amazing and sound system terribly good at this 2 floors gay nightclub.

In 2005 he was invited to play at Acid in Beirut, again, the biggest and more secured club in the city. Acid is known to be a reference for Techno music and the crowd there is amazing as well as the staff, always nice and pleasant. This is also there that he started the mix on cds with the amazing Pioneer CDJs.

Today, Dj LoGiX has played around France, the USA and Middle East.
