Lindsey was born and raised in a small coastal town in Maine to a very musical family. At 16, she began pursuing an artist career and traveled back and forth to New York City to work with producers/writers there. In her early twenties she signed with NYC- based indie label Original Signal.
Lindsey found early success licensing her original music to tv/film everywhere from MTV, ABC, CBS, NBC, ABC Family to E! , Style, Lifetime, USA, and more. Her song “Brand New Day” with Tim Myers was used in national Target ads in 2008 & 2009, and in 2011 she secured her second national commercial with her song “You Make Me Happy” in Yoplait Yogurt ads.
Her self-released 6 song EP, PICTURE PERFECT came out in 2009 followed by a full-length album, GOODBYE FROM CALIFORNIA, in 2010. In 2011, she collaborated with world-famous Dutch DJ Tiesto on his CLUB LIFE, VOL 1-LAS VEGAS album, followed by his ALLURE: KISS FROM THE PAST album and gained a following in EDM world with the song “Slumber”.
In 2011, Lindsey took a break from her artist career and shifted her focus to writing songs for other artists. She has since had songs cut by Demi Lovato, Mariah Carey, Deana Carter, Shane Harper, Jacquie Lee, Rozzi Crane, and more.
In 2013 Lindsey signed an admin/licensing deal with Secret Road and has again found much success in licensing her songs to film/tv. Her song “I Do It My Way” was used in JC Penney’s 2014 back to school campaign,. Her side project, Mary Jane Fonda , has had their music licensed to MTV, Lifetime, USA, Virgin Mobile and their song “I Want It All” is currently being used in national McDonald’s commercials.
Lindsey also has a band with Ben Burgess called Farmdale that released their debut album on iTunes 7/21/14. Their music has already been featured in numerous tv shows and commercials around the world including but not limited to: Criminal Minds, Royal Pains, Pretty Little Liars, Franklin & Bash, Graceland, Shameless, Lane Bryant, Russia’s Beeline, T-Mobile, XBOX, JC Penney, and most recently Applebee’s.
She currently resides in Nashville and continues to balance writing for other artists as well as herself and her bands Farmdale and Mary Jane Fonda.
