With a passion for electronic music since he was just a child, John Boan (DJ Lazyboy) has sprung into action to be known as one of Southern Ontario’s harder styles dj.
His djing began in 2001 at the age of 16, when he taught himself to use the equipment. A family friend owned a nightclub downtown called Junction, where after showcasing what he had learned got the position as resident dj spinning hard trance. About 1 year later the club changed managements and he found himself without a gig. So within the next weeks he sold everything he had including the vinyl, and concentrated his energy on school.
In late 2004, he came across a hard trance club by accident where he befriended the resident djs (Darroo & Chiclet) who got Lazyboy back into the scene. His drive to become a DJ once again was brought to life in 2005 when he did a couple of gigs at Corona Nightclub. Although the venue was very small, it proved to be beneficial for Lazyboy. It was a chance to slowly learn yet again.
Appearing in clubs such as Viva, Afterlife, Club 338 (Pulse).
Lazyboy is aiming high, and slowly producing. He hopes to put Canada on the map for being recognized as a strong force for the European music industry. Expect more in the near future from Lazyboy.
