Laura T started mixing vinyl in her bedroom as a wannabe hard trance deejay in June 2002. Her first motivation for learning to play was the realization that you couldn’t get the tunes on compilation cds that you could get on Vinyl. After teaching herself to play, Laura’s first big break in London was at Fahrenheit at the Soundshaft, Heaven.
Laura continued to play as a hard trance DJ until she developed a passion for funky house around April 2003. Her love of funky house led her to drop the trance gigs and she was asked to take up a monthly residency at the Koz bar.
In 2004 Laura came up with the idea for Sundazed (Famous Productions) with mate Gareth Ellis and they held their first party June 2004. With rapid growth and because of a massive demand they soon moved Sundazed to the Whitehouse, Clapham Common and have been weekly residents ever since. It has grown to become the most popular, naughty Sunday party in South London. They regularly host top Djs including Paul Harris (Dirty Vegas) and the infamous Brandon Block.
A major highlight on the Sundazed calendar was their trip to Ibiza in June 2005 where Laura played at the legendary Space. Other big successes include the awesome Sundazed boat party along the Thames, hosting the funky room at Pacha, an arch at the Cross and more recently under the umbrella of Famous Productions was the driving force for Club Famous at Hidden (Formerly Studio 33) where they took over all 3 rooms with 14 DJs including Soul Avengers and Alex Miles (Bora Bora).
Other top clubs Laura has graced the decks include The End, Herbal, The Cross, The Egg and Canvas With Masters at Work. On top of that she has played the main room at Heaven alongside Steve Lawler and Hybrid and with Harry “Choo Choo” Romero in the main room at Pacha.
Laura recently headlined alongside Tall Paul at the LoveCapeTown.com launch party @ Turnmills in London, wowing the crowd with her skills on the decks. She is touring Cape Town on the Global Breakthrough Club Tour in March 2006. See lovecapetown.com for further info on this amazing tour.
In February ’06 she pumped the crowd for a weekend of mischief in Warsaw, Poland.
