“I’m dedicated to making music that I am proud of… something that represents how I feel about life” -Lance Jordan
With his background in music, Lance Jordan is a force quickly becoming an industry icon as both a producer and a DJ. Lance is a visionary, with his tasteful and unique production work; he has earned his distinctive place in the industry.
A life-long musician and New Yorker, Lance began his professional career as a teenager; a singer and guitarist for several rock bands, he solidified his music education playing in New York’s legendary institutions, blowing audiences away at CBGBs, the Bitter End, and Bond Street. Definitive nights out at Limelight, the Tunnel, the Palladium, the Frying Pan, and especially Kryptons exposed Jordan to a world beyond rock. He began to spend many nights dancing to everything, from post new wave gothic to the early developments of house and European techno. His love for an eclectic variety of musical genres helped shape his deep and moody sound that would leave a life-long impression, now evident in Jordan’s dynamic production and DJ style.
Music having been in his blood since he could walk, Jordan began playing out as a DJ, catching a lot of attention at venues in New York such as Avalon, Discotheque, and Crobar. Jordan’s gripping and contagious sound then grew immensely, gaining him attention from a global audience; playing locations in Europe including Germany and Hungary as well as South America.
Already an internationally famous DJ, Jordan saw the next evolution of his artistic recording career in production, which has since become his true passion. Lance continues to attract diverse listeners, giving way to many of todayâs chart-topping dance songs with the #1 U.S.A Billboard Dance Hit Rosko âLove Is A Drugâ co-produced and co-written by Jordan that seduced the nation. Jordanâs international career was further propelled with the #2 European Dance Radio Hit “Last Night I Was Dreaming.” The song received support throughout the DJ community from the likes of Sasha, John Digweed, Deep Dish, Sander Kleinenberg, and Danny Tenaglia. Continuing his rising success, in 2004 Jordan broke into yet another level of achievement when he partnered with the acclaimed production team Creamer & K to launch NY LOVE records.
A huge success in Germany, Jordan produced the full length Dark Sky under the Electronic Soul moniker that led to sold out performance dates in Hamburg and Cologne. Lance’s ever growing catalogue includes releases on NY LOVE, Dreamworks, Radikal Records, and Arista. Lance is now branching out with the launch of his own Dusk Recordings capturing the unique yet universally appealing nature of his continuously evolving deep, progressive music.
Continuing his rise to dance music icon status, Lance is focused on building a sound for the new Dusk Recordings and the production of a full-length artist album. Breaking new boundaries is a constant for Jordan and he will undoubtedly join the ranks of the legendary dance music elite.
