Biography

Michael Korch is an upcoming producer and well-recognized DJ, hailing from a small town outside of Odense, Denmark.

Michael started producing in September 2010 and then things started taking off. In November 2010 his track “It Gets Louder” (now signed to MELONSOUND) received Dada Lifes “Evil Bass Award” during a demo listening session, where hundreds of people had sent in their demos. Even though Michael has only been producing for a short time, he has played music for over 10 years. Guitar was his first instrument, but he now masters guitar, drums, piano and bass. This is what separates him from other DJs and producers and it has given him a good idea of which direction he wants to go.

Michael studies music production at a music school in London and during his half-term exams one of the assignments was to remix Madonna’s “Frozen”. Michael’s Frozen remix made it to www.madonnarama.com (An official Madonna fan-site) and later on Madonna Radio where his remix has been played out to thousands of people.

DJ wise Michael has conquered the Copenhagen scene by playing at events and clubs such as Ministry of Sound world tour, NASA (Member of worlds finest clubs), Aporta, Park and later on with his other project, Copenheavy, Rust and Distortion Festival.

The other project Copenheavy was formed during a chill-out session in March 2011 with Michael’s good friend Oscar Rumle, a genius young dub-producer who has now joined Michael’s Electro-house genre.

In May Copenheavy won a closing-set for Dada Life at the renowned Tinnitus Event which has booked big acts such as Steve Angello, Sebastian-ingrosso/">Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, Afrojack and many more. The young boys played with Dada Life on the 1st of June 2011.
