Kenzi took his first steps in music back in the mid to late 80′s. Electro funk & breakdance beats were the first styles to take him away from the mainstream. Soon after this time the acid house & rave scene exploded in the UK and he instantly became entwined in the industry he is still part of 25 years on.
At the start of the 90′s Kenzi procured his first set of decks & a mixer and spent many days & nights learning to mix vinyl together at his home, or with friends who were learning the same. After a couple years he decided to spend a summer in Rhodes, with his new mixing skills and soon found work spinning to the summer crowds at The Garage Music Club in Rhodes Town.
After working 2 seasons in Greece he started to find a lot of gigs in the UK when the house & techno scene had left the warehouses and forest parties and moved into the city clubs. His early Uk residencies included Bliss in Newcastle & The Arena in Middlesbrough. This in turn led to many guest appearances for other events and clubs in the UK and overseas.
At some point after many years playing the decks and promoting his events, somehow he moved into the club management side of the business and was a manager/boss at some very prominent venues including Fez Club, Club Euphoria, and Rhythm Room. Also, he managed other venues, clubs & bars after these, mostly around the north east of England.
During 2008, Kenzi became disillusioned with the UK clubs, bars & music scene in general and decided to make plans for the following year to get back to his spiritual home of Rhodes, to play and hear from other dj’s the styles he liked and play to an international crowd again. Now 6 years on, he is running his own business ‘KAM Events Ltd’, as well as hosting other events in Greece, and also back in the UK.
More recently, he set up a home studio where he is learning and crafting his own deep & dark beats of deep tech house and techno, purely for the love of electronic music…
