Kamel Night is what you would call a self-taught DJ who fell in love with Hip Hop and dancefloors when he was only twelve years old. Endowed with an experience acquired in the entourage of the best, he is proud to represent the future generation of French DJs.
Strongly inspired by DJs like Funkmaster Flex, Clue, Kayslay and Premier, his sets are strictly based on the pleasure of his dancefloors. Making people grind and have fun is his main mission, nothing to do with glitter and gold. That’s the reason why he has shared the stage with so many French artists (Cut Killer, DJ Abdel, Le Rat Luciano, Joey Starr of NTM, Booba, Sinik, Secteur Ä…) and the biggest names from the US (Redman, Wu-Tang Clan, Tony Touch, KRS One, DJ Premier…).
More involved than anyone in the Hip Hop movement of his hometown Aix-en-Provence (South East of France), he has contributed to the musical and cultural development of this city that he re-named “Aixcoast”, so that it would be recognized for its true value. This is where he established in 1997 the Aixcoast Party which rapidly became and still is the place to be every Wednesday for all the Hip Hop lovers.
Co-founder since 2002 of the label Le’Vice.Music with Mister Yelo, producer and MC of the band Xtaz, Kamel Night preserves this independence which has led him to the top. The studio enabled them to produce several albums and compilations and has welcomed some of the most respected MCs in the game (Le Rat Luciano, 3ème Oeil, X-Men, Lords Of The Underground…).
In 2007, being hungry for new adventures, he decided to leave France for Vietnam, where he rapidly made a name for himself by playing every Saturday in what was the latest big club of that time, as well as Full Moon parties in Nha Trang, and was recognized by most people as being the best new DJ in town.
After spreading the “Aixcoast” attitude for one year in Asia, he went back to France to create Dream Music, in association with DJ Soon and Andyman. Wearied of organizing the same parties and not being allowed to use their own abilities, they went on to create events as they always intended to. The diversity (from R&B to Hip Hop passing by Electro, Dancehall and Tropical sound) and originality of its parties made Dream Music become the #1 entertainer in the South of France in only 2 years. Thanks to this reputation they became the official DJs of Brick & Lace’s international tour.
Missing Vietnam too much and eager for new challenges, he has now settled in Ho Chi Minh City since February 2010 to do what he’s famous for: making the crowd go crazy with his energetic sets, as he has already started in all the clubs in town.
Today he can proudly claim more than seventeen years of experience in parties, concerts, festivals and shows of all kinds and he is now determined to share all of this with the new generation of Vietnamese DJs by teaching at the DMA DJ School.
