Karin Heens aka DJ Kadraphonic was born and raised in the Netherlands where she currently lives in the Dordrecht area.

At the age of 11, she had several years of piano tuition saying, “Music was always a big part of my life”. Her feeling for rhythm has always been beating to her life’s pulse, and for a while, she even played drums in a marching band. She grew up loving all sorts of music from hard rock and opera right thru to hip-hop and pop.

At the age of 17 she was first introduced to “Acid House” and was involved for many years in the house scene, which evolved from Mellow to Gabber and later on Dance, Trance and Techno.

The music just kept calling and at the beginning of 2014 she bought a djset and she was hooked on it from day one. Techno and Deep Tech stole her heart and Kadraphonic was born!

She has gigs in the Netherlands on regular bases and also landed her first international gig. She is now a resident for the parties of TechChicks and Code Rood. See the list below for some of her gigs.

At first she had her own radioshow called Kadraphonic Beats which aired every week on saturday on Because she wanted more time for producing, she decided to do a monthly set as resident on the TechChicks Radioshow on

The producing part as mentioned, is becoming a bigger part of her life. She is now perfecting the producing part, as well as the live performing part on Maschine MK2.
