Having won the Minneapolis DJ of the year 3 times in a row, Joe Maz had also already performed in most of the U.S., China, Taiwan, Canada, & Mexico by the time he decided to pack his bags to live in Miami. His major accomplishments with his production team “DiscoTech” afforded him with these successes. DiscoTech established itself as one of the Premier bootleg & mash-up teams in the world by late 2008 and has since produced remixes for Kanye West, Donna Summer, & Britney Spears…just to name a few. Joe Maz now holds down residencies in Miami at Mansion, Set, Mokai, Louis, Wall & Rok Bar. It doesn’t end there. Joe Maz has been touring the U.S. for years as a dj/producer and also has major residencies at places such as Borgata (Atlantic City), Slide (San Francisco), The Get Down (Baltimore), and Park (Sacramento). His production is regularly played across the world from the tops djs, to BBC Radio 1, to Sirius, to nearly all the major radio stations in the country. Recently Joe Maz & his team DiscoTech were asked to join Skam Artist, one of the largest and most successful talent agencies in the U.S.
In 2008, the group began a new project that they dubbed “Senor Stereo”. After producing two songs called “Unintentional” and “I Am The Beat”, they were signed to Slow Roast Records, headed by DJ Craze & Kill The Noise. “I Am The Beat” stood at #3 on the Beatport Nu Disco charts for months after its initial release. Look out for the Unintentional remix EP being released later this fall with mixes by Treasure Fingers & Nadastrom.
