Biography
Quite simply, JNL first fell in love with Loop based music in the mid nineties from the explosion of French House music. This unique sound instantly sparked a passion to produce electronically sequenced music. After DJing to learn the composition, it was on to production. “I started out trying to mimic that sound that was coming out of France, but it just seemed like there was something in me trying to escape and it wasn’t at all what I was working on”. Over time, JNL has seemed to form a unique new sound all together combining influences from early forms of Hip Hop, Classic Rock, and his long time second passion: film making. These elements brought together in a way only he can, tell a tale of what it’s like to grow up in Winnipeg Manitoba through the eyes of JNL.
