Javier Gonzalez Beatport

Javier Gonzalez was born in 1973 and began playing sporadically in 1988, led by his DJ friends and the desire to learn the art of mixing. By 1994, he was immersed in the electrifying nightlife of Madrid, working as a light-jockey in Space of Sound club and playing at The End.

His strong ambition to become a professional DJ made him move to Alicante, where he got to play at the bests clubs. After proving his talents in gigs in Pacha Torrevieja and Z-Club parties, he became a resident of Club Metro, performing with international deejays as John Acquaviva, Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, and Erick Morillo.

It was in Ibiza that Javier got his first true break, playing at Amnesia and Privilege, as well as at DC10. His sets combined quality house with the power to move dance floors.

Back in Madrid, Javier had gained experience and recognition. He spreads potent bass sets with a tribal touch at Divino Club and at his monthly spinning at Underground. Javier scored his residency in Space of Sound @ Macumba in 2004. Here he gets a chance to share the booth with Danny Tenaglia, Victor Calderone, David Morales, Mathew Dekay, Sandy Rivera, Hernan Cataneo, Stewe Lawler, Skylark, and G Pal.

Nowadays, Javier combines his DJ career with the music business. He is a promoter at FSM Group and is the permanent DJ at the company’s Clubs: Sunflowers and Space of Sound, famous for having one of Europe’s best sound systems.

Space of Sound has opened up a world of possibilities for him. He was invited to play at Infinitamentegay festival 2004 and has recently been the head of the Infinitamentegay 2005 tour, which traveled through different Spanish and European Clubs.

In association with Alberto Lessmann, he took his first step in musical production. His first track, Shiva (Maxidentity Records), was included in the first remix CD Space of Sound UN10 1. For the second issue, Space of Sound UN101 released in summer 2005, Javier has created a superb track called “Andrea’s Song”.
