In 2009 when an unexpected injury ended his pro baseball career, Jason Dewey turned to his love of music and began his journey to become one of the world’s top DJ’s / Producers / Remixers in the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) Scene…
Influenced by old school hip-hop, dub step, electro house, rock, and heavy bass, the Florida native took his trademark sound to the Miami club scene where he quickly became known for his dance oriented remixes, mash-ups, and energetic live DJ sets. After several months of performing short DJ sets in the US, Jason pursued an opportunity to bring his high-energy remixes to the Western shores of Australia and further expand his audience.
Residing in Perth, Jason soon took the Western Australia club scene by storm in turn landing him in the #1 Spot on the Crack For DJ’s charts 6 times in that year. It wasn’t long before the industry took notice of his rapidly growing following, and Jason was offered a deal with Prestige Entertainment Group based in Hong Kong. This new partnership would lead to a tour throughout Asia over the course of the next year, and ultimately to an opportunity to perform with Tiesto and Porter Robinson as part of Tiesto’s Club Life Tour in 2012.
In the year to follow, Jason supported acts like Afrojack, Dash Berlin, Hardwell, Paul Okenfold, Yves V, and the Far East Movement touring all across Asia. He also moved into the studio remixing the likes of Swedish House Mafia (“Don’t You Worry Child”), Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (“Thrift Shop”), and Birdy Nam Nam (“Going Into My Last Resort”) that collectively had over 185,000 plays on the music sharing app SoundCloud.
To further validate Jason’s growing popularity, he was invited to headline the 2014 ADHOC Festival in front of a record breaking 18,000+ EDM Fans packed into the World Trade Center in Manila, The Philippines. His show stopping performance would later land him a spot on the roster for Music Fest Asia’s 2014 celebrity Halloween party, “Return of the Living Dead” supporting multi-Grammy nominee Morgan Page.
With over 115,000 Facebook fans, multiple collaborations in the pipeline, his first original track, “Overnight” which launched in December 2014, and a pending 2015 US Tour, Jason Dewey’s career shows no sign of slowing.
