Who is Jaimy?

Back in the day, Jaimy was one of the first producers who succeeded in making a living with house music. Being adopted by Amsterdam€™s Outland Records, just before their period of grandeur, Jaimy was responsible for half of all the music coming out of the Outland studios. He collaborated with many Dutch Djs, and engineered most of the other dance floor smashes. He still can’t shake the fans that remember ‘On The Discotrain’, and sometimes reluctantly talks to them about the old days…

Why reluctant? This has foremost to do with the fact that Jaimy, after the collapse of the Outland Empire, instantly moved on with his life. He started developing new songs and sounds for the new era of house, acquired his own studio and started to re-profile himself as an independent producer. Meantime he played at parties, being a welcome guest for his uplifting hypnotic sets. Around 1995, Jaimy was playing more and more abroad, and signed up with Anna Agency in Amsterdam for a better representation of his DJ-career. About two years later he met his musical partner Kenny D, which whom he has been producing ever since.

Production wise, Jaimy & Kenny D. released most of their stuff with Black Hole Recordings, but also signed tracks and projects to United, Combined Forces and recently Paul Oakenfold`s Perfecto label. Their smash hit ‘Keep On Touchin` Me’, already picked up and reworked by Erick Morillo`s Subliminal, has been signed to Skint Records/Loaded for a U.K. re-release. They’ve remixed acts as Halo Varga, Lil Devious and Way Out West. 2001 saw the birth of Jaimy & Kenny D`s own label, Fatal Tracks, administered and distributed by Black Hole. The first Fatal vinyls have encountered nothing but good response.

Jaimy’s style is best described as progressive tribal house, with a firm groove, great swing, completed with beautiful vocals and dark voices. Jaimy has played in lots of clubs in and around Amsterdam. He has performed at big events as Dance Valley, Sensation, Innercity and he is now getting more and more recognized abroad. With several international radio residencies in Europe, USA and Australia, the global party crowd is getting familiar with his sound.

With about 12 years of experience in the dance music business and working together with many producers and dj’s, Jaimy now has decided the time was right to set up his own organization. Through Fatal Music, Jaimy will release his solo materials, projects with other artists and producers and Fatal Music will represent him as a DJ. Already as from the beginning of the label, it’s getting massive support by industry heroes as Danny Tenaglia, DJ Vibe, Victor Calderone and Superchumbo. Jaimy’s mission with Fatal Music is to create a platform for dance music that comes from the soul, in order to give it the attention and appreciation it deserves.

One year after the successful start of Fatal Music, Jaimy has expanded with a second label set up in Spain: Drum Mode. Drum Mode will be another outlet for Jaimy’s solo productions and is already supported by Chus & Ceballos, Tedd Patterson, Danny Tenaglia, Luca Ricci and many more
