Born in Madrid in 1975, Ivan has always been interested in music ’ he was given his first record when he was only 4 years old.
A few years later, after changes in his musical evolution, Ivan was interested by the 80’s electronic beats. His first incursion into the DJ’s world started by chance in 1993 ’ while working as in PR in Madrid’s night disco-bars, he was offered the opportunity to play.
His musical evolution went through different styles, from pop to funky continuing to progressive house and techno, until finally getting to house and all its variations.
After playing guest sessions in various important Madrid clubs like ‘Pacha,’ ‘Opium,’ ‘Madness,’ ‘Sundance,’ ‘Fanfactory,’ ‘Empire,’ ‘Racha,’ ‘Cafe Ole’, Ivan became resident at ‘Torero Dance Room,’ gaining recognition in the House Scene.
In September 2002, the FSM Group offered him the chance to work with them in sessions at ‘Sunflower’ and, on Saturdays, with the Ministry of Sound’s London Parties held at the ‘Macumba’ venue in Madrid.
His musical taste in House has different aspects: Tribal, Latin, Deep, Tech and Trance. It is clear Ivan Pica is full of imagination and has great taste. The crowds love him. As a result, he has shared the DJ booth with some of the most renowned House Scene DJs like: Victor Calderone, Deep Dish, Peace Division, Erick Morillo, John Acquaviva, Satoshie Tommie, Superchumbo, Wally Lopez, Mathew Dekay, David Morales, Jose Nunez, DJ Oliver, Esteve Lawer, Harry ‘choo choo’ Romero, Richad F, Jo Mills, Stephan Tomshon, Mark Huges, DJ Chus, Dimas, Simon and Shaker, Skylark, amongst others.
