For DJ Induce, music has always had a strong influence over him. Ever since the age of 11, Induce became immersed in the world of music by learning music theory and playing various instruments such as the flute and saxophone. By the time he reached 18, he had become familiar with other various instruments such as the guitar, bass guitar, and piano. However, it wasn’t until 2000 that Induce found his calling.
A late bloomer into an already popular rave scene in the Western US, Induce began going to raves in 2000 and soon became enveloped in it. He became overwhelmed by the amazing melodic sounds interwoven with the bass lines in various songs. It was then Induce discovered he had found the path in life he had been looking for. After a short year (2001), Induce obtained his own pair of turntables and never stopped spinning since. After only 8 quick months of self-teaching and honing of skills on the turns, Induce became noticed by several promoters and started to spin at various San Francisco club venues. He has played at some venues such as Club Bas, Glaskat, Hotel Ibiza, Mission Rock, Sno-drift to the well known Club 1015 Folsom where he has played with DJs such as Armin Van Buuren, Tall Paul, Gabriel & Dresden, George Acosta, and many more.
Influenced by international artists such as Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, and Armin van Buuren, Induce is spinning with his own style and flow of his sets. Sharing his love for trance to others and taking listeners to a mystical journey is the drive that gets Induce going day to day.
He has left his residency at 1015 Folsom to focus on other outlets of getting music to the people. He is a resident at a radio station (KSCU 103.3FM, SF, Santa Clara) on the Electrossential Mix Show (Saturday Mornings 1-5am). He also has another weekly show on an online radio station based in Belgium (imusic) on Sundays. He is currently working on producing his own tracks.
