Ichisan

Ichisan is Igor Skafar, one of the most prominent Slovenian photographers, who started his relationship with music playing guitar in various bands. He has later developed preference for electronical sounds, which he blended with his organic feel and started producing his own projects.

In March 2008 he has awaited his first solo 12’’ international release on London’s Airthight Recordings. “Global Pillage and Tips & Tricks” were very positively accepted and got many favorable reviews, including a four star review from iDj magazine. With this release Ichisan received considerable recognition pinning him alongside greats such as Bjorn Torske, Pete Herbert, Prins Thomas, Aeroplane and many more that dabble in excellent soundscape epics.

Since then on Ichisan’s music is linked with best nu-disco record labels and well known names from the nu disco scene.

His discography from first release on is quite impressive: a track “Radar Pulse Is Sent” for the Eskimo recordings compilation “Cosmic Balearic Beats Vol.1” , “Space Patrol” 12” on Solardisco, The Full bet EP on Airtight and "Snow Shower” on Rare Wiri” s 12” Space Disco Vol.1 (all released in 2009).

Ichisan’s remixology includes a remix for legendary 70’s French band Space – "Just Blue” (Nang records), remix of Mario Basanov’s “Caribbean Girl” (Under the shade/jiscomusic) and a remix of Acos CoolKAs’s “Free flight” (Nang records), which was TIRK’S Records bestselling track in 2009.

Ichisan’s music has so far been remixed by Bjorn Torske (remix of Global Pillage) and Walter Jones, who will be contributing a remix of Ichisan’s track “Magnetic field” / forthcoming 12” release on Under the Shade/jiscomusic.

Togeher with his fellow Ule Nakova, Ichisan is also working on a project called “Ichisan&Nakova”. The duo already has several releases on Italian label Pizzico records, their first album “Yugo Tempo” was released in march 2010 on Nang records.
