His first contact with electronic music happened with friends and university gigs, where he used to mix with discmans and tape decks. Around 1998, he got in touch with the clear cadences of techno and that was the beginning of something.
From that time, Gugga started playing in some small clubs and parties in Rio De Janeiro and Minas Gerais, what pushed him to play as a professional in 2000. The way he conducts the dance floor and communicate with the crowd got him some more bookings into the electronic scene.
Among all clubs and parties Gugga has presented his DJ sets, there is: Bunker 94, Fosfobox, Club B.A.S.E., Spin, Dama de Ferro, Barman Club, HRCBeats, Eletroship, Muzik-MG, Boogaloo, RioParade, Friendship. And during all this time he has shared turntables with real nice names such as: Schild, Max-E-Groove, Anderson Noise, Ricardinho NS, K-Milla, Mr Boldie, Fabio Bill, S-Bass, Camilo Rocha, Renato Bastos, Duet4Fun – Jack Jr. & Mr. Gil, AndrÃ©as Kremer, Nitrosound, Doctor, Kalif.Together with partner DJs, he produced some parties which had been known for their good vibe atmosphere. Within all his co-production and party promotion career the most important ones could be mentioned: Disco Inferno afterhour e Eletroship.
His DJ set flows through the electronic rhythms, stretching from tech house to funk, bringing new grooves for techno roughness and moving the dance floor as a whole. There are no special labels, but Pornographic and GForce are always inside the case.
In the early 2004 DJ Gugga started E!SHiP, online live radio show, currently every Thursday 8pm (GMT-3)
