Gabriel De Sandozequi
He began his career as a DJ at the end of 1998, influenced by the sounds of bands like, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, New Order, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, and influenced by DJs such as Anthony Pappa, John Digweed, Sasha, Nick Warren, Danny Howells, Satoshi Tomie, Deep Dish, Lee Burridge, Sander Kleinderberg, Danny Tenaglia, Dave Seaman, Steve Lawler, Tini Tun, Karlos Elizondo, Poro, Light, Luis Diaz and others. When most of the DJ’s decided to stay in one style, Gabriel broke the combination patterns in their present environment, break beat, down tempo, House, Minimal, Tribal, Progressive, Progressive and Psychedelic trance, with management of up to 4 turntables in achievement presentations identify a particular style, very well received by the public in various private parties, which opened the doors of the most important clubs from San Jose, Costa Rica such as: Regina 54, Velvet, Karma, Mozaik, Bahamas, The YOS, Coffee Loft, Vertigo, Cafe 83, The Back Door, Ozio, Utopia, Franky Go, Nova Lounge, Grappa Lounge, mirrors, Club 360, Lubnam, Ganesha and many other places.
Among other things Gabriel is also considered one of the pioneers of electronic music in Costa Rica, without a doubt, though all these years of experience he has become one of the most important DJs in Costa Rica.
In the year 2000, while playing in his first international party in Guatemala, he was selected to be the official DJ for Billabong Tournament in Hermosa Beach in 2000, also the rookie class surf tournament in Panama 2006 (Subliminal electro-rock and surf) and in the Central American Surf Tournament 2006, He was choosen to be the Resident Dj for ISA Billabong World Surfing Games in the year 2009.
Gabriel has performed with some of the most prominent DJ’s like Steve Parry, Rodrigo Pelaez, Leo Leal, Karlos Elizondo, Tini Tun, Jimmy Van M, Sean CUSIK, Nick Warren, Dave Seaman, Justin Scotch, Sandra Collins, Light, Poro, Tranceiver, Gabriel Sordo, Marcelo Castelli, Tom Sawer, Francis Davila and others.
One of the main philosophies of Gabriel is to share his music and his knowledge, reason has been a guide for new promises of electronic music including Andrea Avila (Dj Dharma), DJ Tish, Paul Strasburger, Max Manzur, David Charpentier, Derrick Steele, William Umana, Dj Kuro.
Gabriel can be defined as a range of sounds, he is always open to experiment new things during his music sets.
