Future Disco Vol 4. Neon Nights – Out Now

2 x CD

You would have had to be in a cave or very far away not to have noticed the disco renaissance in the air. With the doom and gloom that feeds daily out of the world’s media, people have been attracted to something all together more colourful, freer and far more happy. Disco has filled the void.

But this Disco is a new kind of Disco. Created by a new breed of producers who have taken the influences of the seventies, eighties and even nineties house and created a sound that has captivated dance floors – this is Future Disco.

The compilation series was born out of a desire to bring together a new emerging genre that wasn’t captured in its depth by any current music collection The first volume ‘A Guide to 21st Century Disco’ released in march 2009 was received to both critical and listener acclaim. It featured a new school of artists including Holy Ghost!, Hercules & love affair, Runaway, Aeroplane, Beyond The wizards Sleeve and many more and struck a chord instantly with listeners.

This paved the way for the second edition ‘The Extended Future Disco Mix’ released in September of the same year. Mixed and compiled by Sean Brosnan the entire selection is re-edited, extended and remixed until what you get is a seamless journey of future disco perfect for the warm up or warm down. The second volume featured the huge pianos of the Juan MacLean’s Happy House, Todd Terje€™s remix of Shit Robot and the unadulterated disco of Faze Action’s ‘I Wanna Dancer’. As well as tracks and remixes from Mercury Nominated Friendly Fires, major live dance act Crazy P and disco pioneer Greg Wilson.

The album went on to be named iTunes Dance Album of 2009, beating all dance artists and compilation albums to the feet. The recipe to the Future Disco sound seems to be keeping a close eye on the latest trends while never ignoring the listener in keeping the sound accessible and fresh. Once again the sound will be tried, tested and mixed for the third volume ‘City Heat’ released in May 2010, which captures the growing interest in cities worldwide in the Future Disco sound. The fourth edition released in 2011 – ‘Neon Nights’ takes the sound in yet another direction, providing the ultimate Future disco night out with a more uptempo twist, set to be become the biggest and best edition in the series to date.

With demand high and smiles wide, Future Disco has gone on to become global event phenomena as well as regular radio show. Transferring that same Future Disco sound live to clubs worldwide and on the international airwaves. Already you can find Future Disco at residencies in some of the best clubs in the world. 360 in Dubai, Ministry of Sound London and Space in Ibiza being just three of the locations you will find Future Disco throughout 2011. This is combined with a host of parties taking place every month worldwide in destinations such as Singapore, Estonia, Denmark, Bahrain and many more.

The future certainly seems to be disco.
