Forest Green spins Electro House, Techno, Progressive House, Breaks, Tech-House, House, Dubstep, Trap, Glitch Hop, 110, 140, Downtempo, Ambient, and various derivatives of all other electronic dance music [EDM]. She’s been a music collector and musician for over 30 years. She’s been DJing professionally since 1996.
Forest is a featured DJ in the popular, indie feature film GROOVE. Groove was accepted to the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in 2000, and was the first film bought that year by Sony Picture Classics. Groove is an independent feature film based on one night in the San Francisco underground dance scene back in the mid 1990s.
Forest Green has played at many internationally recognized clubs and venues such as WMF (Berlin, Germany), The Paradiso (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Flex (Vienna, Austria), The Level (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), Yeni Melek Gösteri Merkezi (Istanbul, Turkey), The Golden Pudel Klub (Hamburg, Germany), Prague, Czech Republic, and Leipzig, Germany, as well as huge international festivals such as The Pohoda Festival (Trencin, Slovakia), The WORMweb Equalizer!fest (Rotterdam, Netherlands), Burning Man (Black Rock City, Nevada, USA), and The Sundance Film Festival (Park City, Utah, USA). She has played at most all of the recognized clubs in San Francisco such as Ruby Skye, Mezzanine, 1015 Folsom, The End Up, Mighty, DNA Lounge, Monarch, Club 6, 550 Barneveld, 111 Minna, and many others. Her talents have been observed and heard in Berlin, Istanbul, Prague, Toronto, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Vienna, Rotterdam, Bratislava, Kuala Lumpur, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Detroit, San Francisco, Vancouver, St. Louis, Atlanta, Columbus, Denver, Portland, Pittsburgh, Memphis, Cincinnati, Coachella Valley, Las Vegas, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, Calgary, Albuquerque, Madison, Louisville, Baton Rouge, Palm Springs, Sacramento, San Diego, Salt Lake City, Oakland, San Jose, Reno, Boulder, Eugene, Indianapolis, Springfield, Fort Wayne, El Paso, Honey Creek, Iowa, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Taos, and for the past four years in a row in Miami, Florida for the Winter Music Conference. She also hosted a 2 year, bi-weekly webcast on Groovetech SF from 2000 to 2002, and a year long, weekly webcast called Abstract Communications Network on Technostate from 1998 to 1999.

Forest has produced and co-produced several weeklies, monthlies, and one off events. Some of her event production credits include producer of Concept One on April 2nd co-produced with CFCA and Teknotika SF, producer of Minimal Monday with Organized Chaos (a minimal techno weekly at The Hush Hush Lounge from 2001 to 2003), co-producer of several Daly City Records events including Baby Godzilla Record Release Party and Girls of Techno, and residencies, production and promotion with Teknotika SF, Hugger Mugger, Tech-On, Tetractys, Sonic Manipulations, Scatter, Sister USA, Friends and Family, Predawn, and Cloud Factory and guest performances, production and promotion work with Cute Fang, Cute Fang Recordings, Daly City Records, Trouble, and Blasthaus.
Forest is very excited to be working on her own electronic music production, sometimes under the name Cute Things With Fangs, sometimes under the name Forest Green. Her label is called Cute Fang Recordings.
Forest grew up studying and performing music starting with choir, and piano lessons around the age of 8, then moving into private voice lessons, classical training and musical theater while continuing choir. Come time for college Forest auditioned and was accepted as a Voice Performance Major to Cal State U. Northridge and San Francisco State U. She went on to continue her studies in classical, opera, and jazz at Cal State Northridge for four intense years until she decided to transfer to SFSU and head in a more technical, computer arts direction. Completing her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from San Francisco State in 1995 with an emphasis in music, computer arts, video, audio, multi-media, and theater. She also completed Music Production School / Electronic Music School at Pyramind Training in 2010. She graduated from The Core: 8-Month Training Program at Pyramind at the end of 2010. The Core is the foundation of Pyramind’s training programs. It combines the three core pillars of success: Creativity, Technology, and Business Skills and is designed for career-minded students seeking to become active music makers and content creators in today’s pro audio industry. The subjects covered are both fundamental and wide-ranging, including beginning and intermediate courses in:Music theory Music production Synthesis Game sound Recording Remixing Music business, and more.
The Core student will learn four major creative applications – Pro Tools, Logic Studio, Ableton Live, and Reason – plus some of the most popular audio plugins made by: Waves, McDSP, and Native Instruments.
