International DJ Artist & Music producer
International DJ Artist & Music producer
The year Y2K he departed his hometown of San Francisco and boarded a plane headed for South East Asia for his first time DJing outside of the states. On his way he stopped in Bangkok, Thailand and fell in love with its vibrant culture, warm weather, beach parties, exotic food, amazing people. A place he called it home for the last 13 years.
His penchant for rhythmic complexity, organic machine made beats and stripped down vocals proves Emanuel has the experience and is a natural behind the decks, working the dance floor week after week, year after year. His strong desire to share great new music with the world drives him to be one step ahead of the hottest trends in underground dance music, which ensures that his sets are always full of the freshest club tracks plus some classics thrown in for good measure.
His first very job he landed back in January 2000 was a small hole in the wall bar at the time named Tapas room club on Silom soi 4, in the hart of the financial district. Tapas room was and is still the longest running venue dedicated to electronic music played by DJs 7 days a week for over 15 years.
Emanuel instantly became a local House and Techno music pioneer, leader and musical icon, which he embraces and does not shrug off because it took a lot of hard work to get there. His achievements include best bar 3 years, best dance club 3 years and voted best DJ 3 years in a row by BK Magazine until he quit for a bigger and better opportunity.
After 3 and a half very successful years at Tapas he left for a very attractive offer to work for a new venue not seen before in Thailand, the beginning of the Supperclub. He was the first foreign DJ to get a work permit and highest paid DJ in Thailand.
He started a weekly institution at Bed Supperclub ‘Models night’ Bangkok’s first & most successful Models night in the city. It was the most talked about night in and around Asia and abroad not just for the jet set crowd & international models but providing Bangkok with quality underground dance music unheard anywhere else at the time.
Over the years he has also collaborated with some very talented performers, singers, dancers, sax players and percussionists on stage. Thailand’s most recognized and talented percussionist Num (T-Bone) and Emanuel have been playing together for over 9 yrs traveling all over Asia to perform.
He has graced the decks with the worlds best DJ/Artists from around the world Kid Massive, Robert Owens, Rasmus Faber, Felix the Housecat, Dennis Ferrer, Martin Solvieg, DJ Gregory, Johnny Fiasco, Copyright, Knee Deep, Ian Carey, Oliver Lang, Born 2 Funk, Felix the Housecat, Nicky Siano, Layo and Bushwacka, Joey Negro, Oliver Lang, Laurent Garnier, Raul Rincon, Jesse Garcia, Sandy rivera, Bodyrox, Derrick Carter, DJ Pierre, Miguel Migs, Tocodisco, Matt Caseli, Doc Martin, DJ Sneak, Mr. Mike, Laidback Luke, AVIICI, Sander Van Doorn, DJ Roog, and many more.
With over 20 years experience filling the trendiest most cutting edge venues from California, Jakarta, Singapore, China, India, to South Korea, Bangladesh to Malaysia, the Maldives, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam and all over Thailand (Chang Mai, Koh Tao, Koh Samui, Phuket, Pattaya, Koh Panghan etc…) To say the least he has been busy.
Back in 1996 he got his first residency at a venue in San Francisco called ‘Skunk lounge’ at the Maritime Hall and ‘Groove lounge’ with long time college friend Miguel Migs warming up for local DJs, organizing parties in random locations around the Bay Area and throwing his own parties. Some DJs he was very fortunate to spin with incl. Miguel Migs, Rick Preston, Jon Howard, Chris Lum, David Harness, Doc Martin, Lisa Shaw, DRC, DJ Rasoul, Dubtribe and other greats at the time.
His next big move he just relocated to the big lights of Las Vegas, Look out for Emanuel Skinner in the coming year 2014 with his new album and EPs!

To whom it may concern,
I am thrilled to write a letter of recommendation for Mr. Emanuel Skinner.
Mr. Emanuel Skinner was employed by Oxygen Holding Co., Ltd from Bed Supperclub holding the position of Resident DJ.
During his time with Bed Supperclub, Bed Supperclub established itself as one of the top clubs in the world. With Skinner’s assistance and DJ sets, Bed Supperclub became a ‘must do’ experience for Bangkok visitors and ‘what night is Em playing?’ for Thai nationals and expats. During Skinner’s tenure, Models Night flourished into not only one of our longest standing nights, but also one of the most popular. Skinner was the original DJ for this night; a position he held until his recent departure. No other DJ at Bed has held this kind of consistency and fan base. Further, Skinner’s sets on the weekends and his restaurant sets were also incredibly popular with the guests. I cannot stress the importance of Emanuel’s fan base enough. Always willing to smash it up on the dance floor, Emanuel was equally gracious and appreciative of the guests and the relationship that he helped build with these guests.
It was an absolute pleasure working alongside Emanuel for the duration of his 9 years here at Bed Supperclub. He will be greatly missed, not only by my self, but by the entire Bed Supperclub staff. I would personally recommend him for any new challenge that comes his way.
Although Bed Supperclub encourages and supports Em’s journey to bigger and better projects, the trail that he left behind has been a most difficult path to follow. Besides the points mentioned above, several other important goals were also landed and created a most positive impact on Bed Supperclub. These include:
• Assisting with bookings many international guest DJs
• Scheduling both resident and freelance DJs
• Helped coordinate timely payments for all visiting DJs
• Often helped handle visiting DJs
• Was able to work alongside visiting live shows (live musicians / acts) and interactive performances / dancers with ease and flexibility.
• Helping coordinate specific theme nights and theme changes
• Eager to go above and beyond his usual duties and responsibilities
• Worked very well under a lot of pressure and tight budgets
Further, Emanuel Skinner is flexible, friendly, and always willing to work additional hours when required. I would highly recommend him to any prospective employer.
