Phaz had his first clubbing experience at the age of 15 at junior parties in local clubs. He was soon attracted by house music. Slowly, he realized the “affection” that a dj had on the dancefloor. Having friends djing, made Phaz to begin spinning some records at a cafe. Later, he was able to do some warm-ups due to some friends’ help, at popular clubs of Rhodes.
After a couple of years Phaz was thrilled listening to Greek DJs playing progressive house music. It was when he decided to make a change and search for some good progressive house tunes. Trying to keep up with new releases was quite difficult but not impossible.
At the age of 18 he had his first contacts with radio stations, something that he found very exciting. He had weekly shows in Radio1 “After Hours Mix” spinning the best music of Radio1’s playlist. After having seriously thought of the chances of being able to succeed in spinning music, he tried to book several guestings in islands like Karpathos and Kos as well as in cities such Preveza and Arta. One his first residencies was in Faliraki’s BED Club at Cream’s Tuesday night Parties. This residency was a new experience for Phaz, as he had a quite big crowd waiting for some good music.
Currently, he is studying Sound Engineering and Music Technology in Athens and at the same time he is trying to book some guestings at clubs all over Greece. You can listen to Emanuel every Saturday on Eccentric Beats 11-1 EST!
