Eddie X grew up in New York City and got his club education at legendary spots like Paradise Garage and Soundfactory….He moved west to Los Angeles in the late 80’s and started DJ’sing around town. By 1991 he was DJ’ing and co-promoting TEMPLE, the hottest weekly club ticket in town for about 5 years straight. In 1997, he moved to Miami at became the resident DJ at LIQUID, one of South Beach’s hottest club’s at the time. In addition to Liquid he had a long running afterhours club called PUMP and was also a regular DJ at CROBAR. He recently made the move back to Los Angeles and has a weekly club night at HERE in West Hollywood. He’s also on the road just about every week playing gigs around the globe. In the last few weeks alone, he’s played big nights in Toronto, Atlanta, Tampa, Miami, New York and Brazil. He’s had three DJ compilations CD’s released to date. The most recent was a progressive house set entitled GLOSTIX about 3 years ago. Eddie’s remix career started in 2000 but has really kicked in this year. He works with his studio partner Luigi Gonzalez under the L.E.X. moniker. Some of their recent remixes in addition to Barry Manilow include Cyndi Lauper “Walk On By” (Epic/2004), Anastacia “Left Outside Alone” (Epic/2004), Mis-Teeq “One Night Stand” (Reprise. currently Top 10 on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Chart), as well as remixes on two new independent artists (Barton and Oryon) which should be hitting the dance charts in the next few weeks.
