Taking the HOUSE sound to a Silky style, DYLA delivers a HOT dubby blend of sexy, Silky House…
In a male driven DJ industry this rising female DJ / Remixer / Producer delivers with some of the hottest Electronic Dance Music on the scene. Her signature “Silky" blends is mesmerizing dance floor audiences worldwide. Beautiful inside and out her obvious sex appeal is not the typical marketing plan you find amongst her striving counterparts.
Originally from Detroit and after living in New York, she now resides in the buzzing urban life of downtown Los Angeles. Steps away from the trendy Standard Hotel and iconic Staples Center, she is experiencing full on the heartbeat of her city. DYLA is leaving her mark on the House Music scene with determination, quality and pizzazz. As a protégé of veteran DJ / Remixer / Producer AJ Mora, DYLA was discovered by Mora while working the circuit in Hollywood. DYLA, who has worked as an experienced VIP bottle service host and bartender found her passion for House Music in some of the hottest venues in town. Captivated by the massive headliners of our day at huge festivals and booming nightclubs, she was transcended to a full on desire to be on that stage as a performer. Mora quickly discovered that this artist was serious and talented. Not long after a few instructions and less than a year of learning and teaching, DYLA began to hold her own and continues to polish a style and sound that will not be ignored! In a short time her ability to take over a dance floor began getting her gigs as promoters were introduced to this nocturnal fire. DYLA has graced her Silky presence at venues that include Ecco, Green Door, Cabana Club, House of Blues and The Room in Hollywood, plus several other venues in and around the L.A. area. As an artist, DYLA has a unique ability to recognize her audience and please any crowd on her sound-sphere. From a style that is Silky and deep to a more energetic Silky edge, her dance floor will be treated with excellent long blended mixes and creative track selections. Her monthly podcast mixes (dyla.podomatic.com) have become a much-anticipated dose for her daily increasing fan base. Her Silky mixes are now available on an exclusive Blackberry Podcast App and also in iTunes.
Recently DYLA is planning to enroll at the ICON Collective production school in Los Angeles to sharpen her chops in the production world. The school’s top advisors include Mark Knight and D. Ramirez, which surrounds DYLA with like-minded successful producers. DYLA is keenly aware that the ability to exceed her DJ goals comes with bringing original production to her global stage. She is already showing her talent this way with a growing production discography that represents projects including a Re-Work of Madonna’s first single “Everybody” and original Tech House tracks being played internationally and available on Beatport- “Don’t Cry”, Tunnel and Silk in the City.
