Dustin Skiles is a dj, producer, remixer and engineer with a list of credits that demand each of those titles. In 1995, he started djing at The Wreckroom, a well known after hours club in Oklahoma City twice a week where eight hour sets were common. After a two year run, he left for a year at another club on the other side of town before returning to the Wreckroom for another two years. Throughout this time, Dustin was also playing raves, parties, festivals and other clubs throughout the midwest. He also hosted a five hour, commercial free mixshow on a 100,000 watt radio station pounding out upfront dance music week after week. Not a bad start.
Relocating to Florida in 2001, Dustin attended Full Sail University where he graduated with an Associate of Science in Recording Arts. Shortly after, he began recording and mixing a variety of music. Along the way, he learned a lot about making records sound great by working with some amazingly talented producers and engineers such as Chad and Steve Petree, Jeremy Dawson, George Tobin, Eric Schilling, Ron Taylor, Gary Carolla, and Sergio George and has racked up credits with Shiny Toy Guns, Peter Graves, James Boyd, Olga Tanon, Gloria Estefan, Patti Smyth and Scandal, Rick Springfield, Steph Carse The Midway State, Trailer, and many others. He has done studio and live work for Univision, Sony, Universal/Motown, iTunes Originals, Telemundo, MTV, Billboard Magazine, Disney, VH1, and Clear Channel along with many independent labels, production houses, ad agencies, and radio stations. Dustin continues to engineer but is much more focussed on original production and remixing.
In 2008 alone, Dustin has released original music and remixes on 1Shot, Knight Life, Pangea (UK), Fin Music (UK), Caffeine, and M-Toxin Recordings. He has remixed dance artists such as DNF, Josh Money, Chris Micali, Native, and Seth Vogt as well as rock bands Shiny Toy Guns and Trailer with more on the horizons. His music has had support from the likes of Sandra Collins, John Debo, Sultan, Mixing Mark, D-Fuse, Nosmo, Simon Langham, Monty Q, Ariel Cybana, Boris Gluck, and many other world-class djs.
Currently, Dustin is working on a full-length artist album with singer/songwriter (and wife) Breana Skiles, keeping up a residency at Go Clubnights (Orlando), maintaining a relentless remix schedule and teaching Pro Tools labs at Full Sail University. 2009 will see loads of new releases and a steady dj schedule.
