Biography

Dirty Rhythm Syndicate are a electronic dance music trio who are based in the UK which consist of Jay Marshall and Neil Bennett which form the dj partnership within Dirty Rhythm Syndicate and Gary Morland who is the Musician behind the trio. Their production work and dj sets combine a unique techy-progressive influence which has caught the attention of the world’s leading djs and producers with one quote saying ‘these guys are a new breed of tech-prog house’.

Jay and Neil have been involved in the dance music scene and djing since the early 90’s and it wasn’t until spring 2003 when they formed ‘Dirty Rhythm Syndicate’ along with Gary. Jay’s passion for music has been a lifelong love and he comes from a musical background with four generations of his family being classically trained musicians, and Neil was a keen drummer practising this from a very early age before finding his feet within djing.

Between them they have played at some of the UK’s finest clubs including The Ministry of Sound (Rulin), Miss Moneypennys, Turnmills, S.L.A.G, Glasshouse, the Complex and they have even supported Uk Ska band ‘Bad Manners’. The boys can also add Holland, Greece and Spain to their list of countries they have played in.

Gary is an accomplished musician with 21 years experience in the music industry and playing a multitude of instruments including guitar and keyboard, and having the experience of touring and playing in places like New York, Paris and Ibiza. Gary can also add ‘Mastering engineer and producer’ to his list of skills with having co-produced and mastered music which has been released on albums through house music legends ‘Renaissance & Global Underground’.

Their own productions and remixes have seen them work with EDM labels: Deepsound Music, M.O.D.E music, McGroove records, Low Pressings (Hernan Cerbellos label), Trance Allstars and Underphunk. The boys have also worked and remixed for house music legend ‘Morgan King’ and have re-worked his Grammy nominated track ‘Im Freewith’ a 2010 remix which received massive support.

The dj support for DRS keeps on growing and growing with the world’s leading players including Hernan Cattaneo, Nic Fanciulli, Marcus Schulz, Chad Jackson, Dubfire, Jaytech, Kyu & Albert, Bobina, Anthony Pappa, Eelke Kleijn, Gai Barone, Miss Nine, Oliver Lang, Hernan Serrao, Max Julien (Deepsound Music), M.O.D.E, Sasha Le Monnier, Oscar Aguilera, Monogamma & Chris Cargo to name a few……including endless support on internet radio stations Proton Radio (America) & Techno FM (Canada).

The future for Dirty Rhythm Syndicate is a very bright one with the boys being under new management and new visions within their music, who knows where this can end……
