Diosa started to explore the Arizona rave culture and its music scene in 2000. Her early musical influences and inspiration came from punk rock but after seeing a life-altering performance by DJ Z-Trip of the Bombshelter DJs, she decided it was time for her to make a move to the other side of the decks. Now armed with a strong desire, fierce determination, and the support of her crew – sickvibe DJ’s – Diosa (Spanish for goddess) is making a name for herself with her diehard love of all things broken beat and her enthusiasm behind the decks!…And while she is nobly attempting to keep the dance floors hot, she is also keeping the world updated on the current state of the dance music scene by having contributed to music publications such as Sonik magazine, Switch Magazine, and as the Content Manager of Shejay, an ezine dedicated to bringing together women in electronic music.
Diosa has donned the promoters hat in November 2003 by having hosted her own successful monthly “Northern Lights @ The Joint” as well as numerous one off events.
2004 has been a great year for Diosa. She has recently worked with Oakley Sunglasses during the launch of their new female clothing line and she has also been asked by the National Electronic Dance Music Conference to moderate a seminar about women in electronic music during their conference to be held on September 3rd-6th 2004.
