Deeko first realised his love for Dance music whilst still at school in the late 90’s and after a brief spell of listening to rock music while at college he regained his love for the music in 2002 when he bought a set of turntables with a mate. Having dabbled in funky house, hard house and techno Deeko soon realized that the trance scene was where he wanted to be.
Having spent hours and hours practicing in his bedroom and playing in front of mates Deeko was given his first chance to play to a crowd along side Jay-Wes by friend and promoter Troy Love on the first Freespirit Boat Party sailing from Southampton. The buzz from playing left him wanting more. Having played at other Freespirit events Deeko has firmly established himself as part of the Freespirit team.
Towards the end of 2005 Deeko started a weekly radio show on internet radio station Trancemixers but sadly in late 2006 the site was closed but fortunately Deeko was asked to carry on his show fortnightly on Digital Vibes where he plays, still as part of the Trancemixers team on Thursday evenings.
Later in 2005 whilst at University Deeko was given the chance to play at the student union for a night called Kreamed. This lead to an opportunity to play at Access Festival, his first festival and the first time that a dance tent has been present. It went down a storm with the tent completely filled creating an amazing atmosphere.
Early in 2006 Deeko was invited by Sound Proj-X and Stimulate to play at Storm the Fort II, his biggest event to date just of the coast of Portsmouth and since then has played for them again along side trance legend Darren Tate.
2007 looks to be a good year with another outing at Access festival planned and hopefully many more sets to come. Having recently brought a keyboard Deeko is looking to get into production as well so check watch this space to hear how this progresses.
