Hailing from Edinburgh Scotland, dj Deburgh became hooked into dance music after hearing a mix on the radio by the legend from Detroit Jeff Mills who plays techno records every 30 seconds at a blistering pace scratched and juggled together like hip hop. Hearing this new approach to mixing gave Deburgh the vinyl buying addiction.
Through techno came the new sound of Detroit dance music : ghetto tech , fusing electro , techno , Miami bass and hip hop dj styles and this what Deburgh had been searching for : raw minimal beats combined with hip hop chants talking sex , ghetto and street.
Scratching and juggling are a big skill in Deburghs arsenal putting other djs to shame through fast mixing and fluid track changes.
Be it a hip hop or a techno crowd Deburgh can make them all move to genre busting sounds and x rated booty chants.
