David Isaac is one the best kept secrets on the west coast. His long blends of Funky Deep Tech House with Techno and Breaks gives him a unique style that sets himself apart from most DJs. Coupled with his Emmy Award winning prowess as a sound effects designer applied to music production, David has all the makings of an up and coming talent in the world of electronic dance music. In 1999 and 2000, David held down residencies at Hollywood’s, Opium Den and LA’s legendary and long running afterhours, Insomnia. During that time, he played with some very influential and prominent DJs, including Christopher Lawrence, Donald Glaude, DJ Dan, Mark Farina, Marques Wyatt, Mark Lewis, and Julius Papp.
After 10 years of having left DJing behind, in August 2010 David moved to San Francisco to give it another shot. David spent the next year and a half as a resident DJ at Temple, one of the city’s largest nightclubs. Since returning to the world of DJing, David has put out releases on several labels including Temple Music Group, Blue Orb, Jah Love, Anadamide, and Bent Ant. In 2012, David returned to Los Angeles to work on “Superman: Man of Steel” and continue his career as a sound effects designer. Since then, he has become a new addition to the Digital Apex sound camp at Burning Man and is one of their resident DJs.
