David Vasquez, the New York native of Puerto Rican decent, has become one of the fastest rising DJ’s and producers in the world of Dance Music today. His signature sound blends deep, dark and tribal beats with sexy Latin rhythms. His reputation for consistency, eclectic track selection and technical skill has earned him industry-wide respect and continuous love from fans around the globe.For nearly two decades, David has been devoted to the New York dance music scene and its culture. He has performed alongside some of the industry’s most prestigious names including Pete Tong, Josh Wink, Angel Moraes, The Scumfrog, DJ Vibe, Stephane K, Omid 16B, Desyn Masiello. In 2001, he teamed up with DJ/Producer John Creamer to form the New York based record label Magnetik Music. As head of A & R for the label, David was responsible for signing new talent and promoting events for those artists at venues throughout the city. Most notably, the infamous Rubber Monkey and the Magnetik Music loft parties. He held residency at renowned New York City nightclubs Pacha, Tunnel, Avalon and also performed at Space and Nocturnal, popular nightclubs in Miami. David has seven years of experience DJ’ing and organizing events at the Winter Music Conference. David has evolved throughout the past three years into one of New York’s most diverse and innovative producers of dance music. His production credits include the 2006 dance remix of “Cold Shower” by Rietsa, a collaborative effort with DJ/Producer Lance Jordan, the 2005 hit record “Forget the World" which he co-produced with John Creamer, and “Bump Re-mix” for Danny ‘Buddah’ Morales. His most recent work is a collaboration with the members of Magnetik Music, the 2009 dance remix of “Perfect Gentleman” by Rietsa. His distinct and unique form of fused Progressive and Tribal house music, has led him to work with many of dance industry’s most recognizable artists and labels. David grew up surrounded by multi-cultural sounds including his own Latin heritage, disco, funk, R&B, soul music and the urban sounds of hip-hop. His early musical influences included distinguished artists and musicians such as Stevie Wonder, Prince, Donna Summer and Earth Wind and Fire. In 1985, he entered the dance music arena as merely a fan during the early days of the New York club scene. He spent most of his formative years in some of New York’s most notorious clubs including the World, Red Zone, Tunnel, Palladium and the original Sound Factory. He proudly credits the legendary sounds of Tony Humphries, Little Louie Vega, Frankie Knuckles, Junior Vasquez, Danny Tenaglia and Angel Moraes as his inspiration to dance music. Currently, David is in the studio producing tracks with some of music industry’s giants that are sure to be number ones. As well as spinning the deepest, darkest, sexiest beats at club Le Souk Harem and Club Love.
