Biography

About fifteen years ago Dan Air started dj’ing at party’s weddings and low brow disco’s, often with one deck and a tape player and often complaining that someone had nicked a box of records from the van.

These days he insists on at least two decks and a mixer and mixes stuff you’ve never heard of with stuff you know the words of, he still likes to incorporate the old, new, borrowed and blue into his sets.

After building a name for himself in London playing and promoting alternative nights like Glamorama, Love Comedown, Debbie Does Disco (where he played a legendary 13hr set with Jay4Kay) and WWFM’s Jaded sessions to name a few, he hit Sydney Australia with a demo disk most said was “too electro.” He still managed to carve out a couple of residencies and played Moulin Rouge, Deck Bar, Lounge, Scope, Tonight Only and more. Before returning to his homeland to pick up where he left off.

Dan has also spent a disproportionate amount of time playing with under the underground electronic rock band “Chicano” performing on releases like “Rose Giganta” and “Teen Thumbs.” He currently plays for his own band “DeLorean” and spends his spare time creating remixes and originals which he occasionally throws into his dj sets.
