Having discovered a love of dance music at an early age Danish beauty, DJ and producer Dainty Doll has taken the electronic dance music scene by storm with her distinctive take on House and Techno.
A versatile DJ; her arsenal of material ranges from House to Tech House and Techno, with her unique style and technical expertise seeing her releases land on major labels including: 303 Lovers, Hotfingers, Stealth Records, Definitive Recordings, King Street Music, K9 Records, Tactical Records, Vamos Music, Muzicasa, Lip Recordings, RiseUp Records and many more.
Her big break came when her hit remix of “Police Bells & Church Sirens” (a track originally from one of Denmark’s biggest electronic rock bands, Nephew) gained attention across Europe.
Aside from her production Dainty Doll has also been blessed with a sultry, sexy and seductive voice, which can be heard on some her own productions. This has caught the attention of several high profile producers including: D.Ramirez, Lissat & Voltaxx, My Digital Enemy, Eddie Amador, Luigi Rocca and Chris Ward/Della Zouch, who are clamouring to do vocal collaborations with this multi-talented girl.
Discovered by John Acquaviva back in 2010, Dainty Doll released her 2 track EP “Candy Kiss” on his Definitive Recordings imprint back in 2011. The following month 303Lovers signed her track “Wasted Youth” and released it on their “Techno” compilation, alongside such prolific names as Umek, Alex Kenji, Richard Dinsdale, and Luigi Rocca. “Wasted Youth” shot to #24 on the Beatport Top 100 Techno Chart within days, as well as #8 on 303Lover’s overall downloads, proving she is a talent to be reckoned with.
Dainty has travelled in many parts of the world such as, Italy, Portugal, South Africa, Sweden, Norway, Azores Islands, Spain. Most notable was Gatecrasher in Holland where she performed alongside heavyweights Eddie Halliwell, Marco V, Dimitry Vega and Koen Groeneveld to name a few. In addition she shared played The Gallery at London’s Ministry Of Sound club, where she had the pleasure of sharing the billing with Ferry Corsten.
With supporters like John Acquaviva, Olivier Giacomotto, Richie Hawtin, Spartaque, Umek, Luciano, to name a few, it’s safe to say that Dainty Doll is definitely on the right path. Heralded by an explosion of powerful tracks and with artists and labels queuing up to get her to remix for them, this year has gone off with a bang for this bright young talent.
