Anyone who’s been into Techno Music for the last 10 years or so will probably have stumbled across one of Dave The Drummer’s records. He’s the one of the key producers behind the Acid Techno Sound of London in the 1990’s and owner of one of the best known techno labels in the world “Hydraulix”

For the past 15 years D.A.V.E. has been DJ’ing from his vast catalogue of tracks all over the world. As a DJ He has a reputation for being innovative and sharp on the

turntables, and now, playing with Traktor Scratch and Cross by MixVibes with an armload of fresh, new,

unreleased material, his DJ sets have become explosive

Never one to be tied down, DAVE continues to choose his own direction, supporting the smaller intimate underground venues as well as running his own events in London, He is still a regular visitor to Brasil as well as Japan , Australia , Venezuela, Canada , Russia, and the rest of Europe and has played most of the world best clubs and festivals over his 15 year career as a traveling DJ.

In recent years Dave’s sound has shifted away from the fast acidic sound of the London underground to a slower funkier techno groove. His recent work on sister label Mutate to Survive along with tracks on Reklusive, Naked Lunch, Hydraulix 909 and his Studio productions and collaborations with other techno producers are

picking up attention from some of the worlds top techno DJ’s. Including regular plays from:

A. Paul, Len Faki, Fergie, Adam Beyer, Ritchie Hawtin, Bryan Zentz, DJ Preach, DJ Murphy, Carl Cox, Wehbba, Joseph Capriati, Sasha Carassi and many more.

The story doesn’t end there, DAVE has created his own custom sample C.D.

DAVE THE DRUMMERS TEKNO TOOLBOX is released through Lenny Dee’s ISR label and has become a best seller through Loopmasters and Producer Loops and elements from the pack have turned up in lot’s of charted techno tracks, DAVE is currently working on a follow up pack.

He’s been teaching Ableton Live at workshops at the AIMEC DJ academy in Brazil, he is the chief editor of the technical section of new UK dance magazine CORE and in his spare time ( which doesn’t exist ) he’s studying web design and planning to become a fully qualified web professional, to help build the best music orientated

websites of the future starting with his own.

Core Magazine

Recently Dave has been writing the production section for british Hard Dance Magazine “Core”. His blog has proved to be very popular and his style as a no-nonsense journalist has won over some of the major music Software Companies such as Native Instruments and Akai Pro.

He’s test driven Digital Vinyl Systems and created video “head to head’ reviews, he’s tried out Midi Controllers and reviewed trade events with Editor Mark EG.

The Companies he has written for have all expressed their gratitude for Dave’s efforts and he has helped build bridges between them and their potential customers in a friendly and unique way.

MixVibes

Since his review of the MixVibes U-Mix Control-Pro, and the Software platform Cross in Core Magazine, DAVE The Drummer has now entered a representation deal with the french DJ software company MixVibes, giving his endorsement of their products.

He’ll Soon be reviewing their Audio Visual Dj Software VFX for Core Magazine, which is a revolutionary way to mix audio and visual tracks in real time.

Hydraulix Parties

2009 Saw the beginning of the legendary Hydraulix Parties in London. So far four Parties have happened with the main dates being Dave’s Birthday in October.

Featuring the cream of European talent and exposing great techno music to the London massive, the Hydraulix Parties have gone down in history as a “don’t miss” event.

Hydraulix has built bridges between London’s techno scene and the European scene that never existed before.
