DJ/Producer C.N. Williams is long term weekly resident at the award winning Escape nightclub (UK) and creator of the critically acclaimed record label Reel House. He has been involved with the dance scene since the early 1990âs, never wavering from his trademark unique style of vocal garage and house He has been resident at the UK super club ‘Escape’ for almost 8 years, taking control in early 1998 and has taken the clubâs house arena to new heights ever since his arrival. He has worked along side some of the biggest names in the field, and is responsible for hosting the house arena at Walesâ largest festival Escape in the Park for the past five years. The last couple of years have seen CN Williams in demand across the globe, playing gigs from Las Vegas to Miami, New York to venues around Europe and continuously championing the Reel House sound and vibes around the world and to a club/event near you. The early part of his DJ career saw residencies and guest spots all over the UK. He was certainly kept busy whilst running his own dance vinyl shop ‘Club Scene’ he set up his first record label ‘Final Phase’ in 1995, which made the industry sit up and take notice. This led to guest DJ spots at some of the first UK super clubs ranging from venues such as the Ministry of Sound, Club UK, Freedom and Miss Moneypennyâs to name but a few. He decided to follow his love of music by setting up a London based record distribution company ‘Stone City’, which concentrated on soulful garage from both sides of the Atlantic. Stone City distributed the early sounds of Grant Nelson, UBQ, Jazz and Groove, Black Vinyl and Z Records to name but a few. With Stone Cityâs growing success and CN Williamsâ exhausting dedication to the scene, he was invited to appear on the London pirate radio scene showcasing in particular on Magic 90.2 FM every Friday from 6-8pm, playing a selection of funkier grooves from both sides of the Atlantic. Stone City and CN Williams featured in many dance press articles such as ‘Sound of London’s Underground’, with a four-page article in M8 as well as many other articles in the industry media. CN Williams has had a very active few years with increasing press coverage in Mixmag, Ministry, M8, DJ and charts in Wax and Jockey Slut etc. He has also enjoyed interviews on BBC Radio as well as doing The Hot mixes for Vibe 101FM. In 2002 CN Williams picked up âBest House DJâ at the Welsh Music Awards, an award completely voted for by the public. 2003 saw him pick up âBest House DJâ once again, this time at the South Wales Peopleâs Awards. Proving CN Williams has an enormous fan base of dedicated followers and is a true DJ for the people. CN Williams now concentrates his efforts into his internationally acclaimed label Reel House, which has seen releases from Jocelyn Brown, Suburban Souls (Darren Giles & DJ Mayhem), Lenny Fontana, Byron Stingily, Disco Darlings, Stonebridge and Spiritual Souls. He is also getting back into producing himself with the ever popular CNâs edits, and the massive remake of Bad Mamma Jamma, which is currently blowing up in Ibiza. Reel House is also now one of the most popular labels on sites such as traxsource.com and mp3toburn and is set to breakthrough in 2006, with a set of compilation albums mixed by CN Williams & Co. CN Williams is one of the hottest stars of the house scene and looks set to have an explosive end to 2005.
