DJ name: DJ Chiren
Real Name: Villyvian van Tiel
1978 Was the year that Chiren was born. In the Early nineties he started mixing records together with his best friend Wiseguy. Together they ruled the Hardcore-scene in Den Helder for many years. The legendary “Café The Twins” was their regular playground where they dropped their kicking bassdrums and pounding melodies. And it was in this same Café that Chiren (then still known by the name DJ Impact) became the first mix champion of Den Helder (juried by nobody less than DJ The Viper).
A year later Chiren had his biggest hardcore success playing 3 hours non-stop for 1.500 people at “Ravers Garden”. It seemed that Chiren and Wiseguy we’re unstoppable. But then luck turned against them. Wiseguy got involved in an accident which unfortunately he did not survive. Suddenly the hardcore-scene in Den Helder lost one of its best DJs. It would never be the same without him.
For more then a year Chiren didn’t touch any records at all. It was in this period that he began producing his own music. And with success. A lot of local hardcore hits were made by his hands. Slowly he was getting his own professional studio. But in the year 2000 Chiren made his comeback behind “the wheels of steel” and won the mix championship for the second time. He enjoyed being back again, but he was looking for something new. That’s how Chiren got infected with the hardstyle virus. After some time of spinning some hardstyle records, he also started producing hardstyle. His first track was the theme made for “Reversion” where DJ Luna made his appearance. Luna heard this track and was enthusiastic about it.
They decided to join forces and started producing their own hardstyle tracks. Trilok who is a good friend of Chiren and also a talented DJ completed the team. They produced hits like “we control the sound” and “hear me now”. They even produced the “Mysteryland Anthem” for the Hardstyle Area that night at the edition of Mysteryland 2002. Together they also form DHHD. Under that name they have produced hits like “Rush” and “30 minutes”. Chiren recently released his first solo record “Equalize it”. This record is dedicated to DJ Wiseguy and is already a huge success!
Besides hardstyle Chiren is also still spinning the wheels at hardcore-events. And he will continue with this. “Hardcore & Hardstyle are both in my blood!!” he says!
And why not? The perfect combination!!
