Born and raised in Paris, Automann is certainly one of the most promising talents in the french house music scene.
Only one year after his first release on Used Records (David Chevalier’s label), he has already worked with influential imprints like CR2, Vicious, Work Machine, Spinnin, to name a few.
A classically trained musician, with piano lessons under his belt. The power of composition first appeared when some school friends and himself formed a band. Switching his piano for synthesizers, he entirely took part in the creation of a funk/pop mini-album. This first adventure lasted 3 years where he also became a bassist as the former one had left the group.
Moving away from his friends to follow some «parents-wanted» studies, his will of production stayed unbroken. He naturally came to electronic music to quench his thirst of creation. Few years of «skills-making long nights behind the screen» brought him to a serious sound and a chronic-taste for big grooves. Moreover, Automann started to play as a DJ at bigger and bigger students parties, and so discovered how cool it was to play his own records for 2 or 3 thousands of party people.
Already confirmed artists in the international club scene have trusted in Automann :
David Chevalier (Renaissance, Goom Radio, Satisfy, Used Records) chose him to launch his own label. Northern Lights EP and Jasper EP were respectively the first and third Used Records releases. Both EP were supported and playlisted by Funkagenda, Eddie Amador, Agent Greg, Jesse Vorn, D.O.N.S.,Dj Antoine, Eddie Halliwell, Andrea Bertolini, Da Fresh…
A couple of releases followed on Italian Andea Martini’s label Emotive Sounds and the funky Belgian one 17:44 records (Bartosz Brenes & Timofey) still receiving great supports from David Vendetta, Markus Schulz, David Tort, Above & Beyond, Mobin Master, Sebastien Lintz and others.
In the begining of 2011, Automann joined his force with Davd Hopperman to produce Struggled, signed on the famous CR2 WMC compilation, and Crytical, a smashing progressive track with some big vocal parts by Ollie James (Singer of the hits Tell me why by Supermode, Say Say Say by Hi tack, NYC Beat by Arman Van Helden or Irresistible by Nervo, recently number one in Top Chart Uk and playlisted by Pete Tong on Radio 1). Crytical was signed on french label Work Machine.
Sebastien Drums and Tom Geiss, Work Machine owner and label manager, believed in Automann as they asked him to be a Wok Machine Artist.
Remix offers flooded giving him the chance to work with new producers and labels. He fully remodelled «SNUS» from hitmaker Avicii & Sebastien Drums for Vicious, or « Do it» from Mohombi and Red One for Spinnin.
New remixes and original productions will be released in the followings days so pick up one’s ear for Automann sounds!
