AudioTrip is the brainchild of a surrogate manc and creative whirlwind Feri Gyemant. Originally from Hungary Feri’s musical background was consummated on classical guitar, then evolved via various rock and metal bands in his native environment.
Following a move to Manchester he was introduced to the heady delights of club culture and the DJ-based dance scene. He willingly immersed himself; attending some rather memorable nights at Sankey’s and some underground techno events in Manchester, and followed with interest the careers of DJ’s / producers’s like Sven Vath, Nick Warren and Carl Cox. After being thoroughly led astray the logical next step for his own musical output was a move into programming, digital recording and visual art. AudioTrip was born.
Feri takes inspiration from a variety of sources, not least his zest for adventure. He comments; “Having traveled around the world I am always impressed by the diverse nature of our planet, which never fails of surprise and amaze. I take these influences and try to express and translate them into unique audio-visual journeys”.
The result is a burgeoning set of honed and hypnotic dance tracks under the AudioTrip banner, which mix a swathe of tempos and textures with surreal sounds and mashed-up samples.
