Attik is a duo headed by the Brazilians Hugo Dias and Thiago Almeida. Was exactly in 2005 that both of them decided to gather their skills to make the first eletronic music duo in their city. The project was named Major Pax. With the newborn project, they tested their expertise on tracks which style varied from progressive house, breakbeat and downtempo. These tracks reached the world through various labels, such Loopfreaks Black and Pantano Beat. The project also released two digital albuns: “Things To Come” and “Somewhere Out Here”, both hitting some of their tracks on the Top 100 of their genre at Beatport.
On their search for different styles, they reached some new grounds: techno and house. As their new tracks was becoming so different from Major Pax’ stuff, they decided to make a new project to prove their talent in different ways. They called it Attik.
With creative and singular tracks, Hugo and Thiago are getting the proper appreciation not only on their native country, but around the four corners of the world. In order to get more flexibility on their release schedule, they started their own label, Bleep Bloop Records, along with LC Junior, Anderson Fellini and Rodrigo Farinha, aka Faraz.
The duo, which already shared line ups with names such D-Nox and Beckers and Tocadisco, is one of the hottest electronic music projects in Brazil, making them the biggest revelation in 2009.
