Tim Patmont a.k.a. Atimatik started his professional music career over a decade ago as a bassist for Bay Area punk band, Loose Bearing. While on tour, he learned how to keep his audience energized by performing and learning from some of the most notorious and legendary punk acts.
During the mid-90s, he experienced SFs underground electronic music scene and was blown away by its early influences (DJ Dan, Barry Weaver, Donald Glaude to name a few). Because of his mechanical understanding of music, Atimatik quickly picked up the art of DJing. As Atimatik progressed in skill, he landed DJ work with globally renowned Mephisto Odyssey (Warner Brothers Records).
Atimatik has been seen spinning at some of the most important clubs and parties all over California including Clockwerk Events/Atlantis, Live 105/Rocktronica at the Fillmore and the Great American Music Hall, Burning Man, Forum Nightclub, Polos Blue Cube, Glas Kat, 550 Barneville, Love Parade SF 04 & 05, Fahrenheit, Alpha Bar, Gallery Lounge, Avalon, Jellys, 1015, Cuccinis, Club Deep, Vault Ultralounge, Lift, Aura, Ruby Skye, and many more.
In June of 2005, Atimatik became Breakbeat Champion on DJForums.com, winning the final round of a series of mix submissions that got put against other DJs in the same genre.
Atimatiks sets have the driving bass lines of electro house and breakbeats, that inevitably have the crowds throwing their hands in the air. Although you can still find Atimatik playing bass, his primary project remains spinning in front of frantic crowds with his unique, floor pumping style.
