It started in the 80’s – First piece of vinyl, ‘rappers delight’ by The Sugar Hill Gang. Heavily influenced by various breakin’ battles. Totally taken, Andy saved and bought records, lots of records!

Andy got involved with a community youth project. This is where Andy taught himself to mix, cut and scratch.

Late 80’s A regular radio 1 listener and habitual taper (sorry), He Heard John Peel play ‘Land of Confusion’ by Armando – this was Acid House!. Andy started attending warehouse parties and raves and under the name of DJ Air Andy DJ’d for local rave promoters, alongside Doc Scott, Daz Willot, Keith Suckling, DJ SS and SL2.

Early 90’s – An 18-year-old Andy Hooked up with local producer to produce a break-beat white label “KUDOS” E.P. By the end of 91’ Andy felt Rave had lost its “underground” feel, so looked back to the 4:4 house scene.

Through Jock Lee, from Bosting Records, Andy gained residency at ‘The Institute’ Birmingham during 93 and 94.

1998 Joined Centre FM to produce Saturday nights Dance Show + Residency at The Refinery, playing his mix of pumping (not banging) house alongside the harder sounds of Fergie, Andy Farley and Lisa Lashes.

Andy created his own project, Full Fat. This lead to Andy being asked to organise and headline at large capacity Dance Events as part of summer festivals in 98 and 99.

2002 Began Residency at Bullit, playing alongside Brandon Block, Alex P, Hed Kandi and Lisa Loud. In addition, Started BAK TRAK @ Bullit on Friday’s – exploring and sharing his massive back catalogue.

2003 Corona Beer Company selected Bullit to be the Venue for the West Midlands heat of their worldwide DJ tournament. Andy entered and won a place in the National final.

27th September 2003 Competed at Super Club “Lucid” in Manchester and won the National Contest.

28th November 2003 MOVIDA CORONA WORLD DJ CHAMPIONSHIPS, TEATRO KAPITAL MADRID. In front of a crowd of thousands, Andy opened up his set with a scratch solo set piece, which stole the crowd and judges favour to become the MOVIDA CORONA WORLD CHAMPION.

2004 The Future – Andy is now working with Corona on a World DJ Tour taking Andy’s crowd-pleasing sets to venues all over the globe during 2004.

Andy has linked up with to produce a Thursday night show “Andy Milford’s World of Dance”. Consisting of live studio mixes from Andy and some of the Worlds most renowned DJ’s.
