When Anaya visited an acid house club in London back in 1988 she got hooked for real into the electronic music scene and ten years later she bought her first set of decks. She has since played electronica and techno in all shapes and forms at clubs, festivals and radio shows in Sweden. She has also spinned records in Barcelona, London, Leeds and Berlin.
Anaya’s interest in electronic music has led to the involvement in many projects. She is the founder of Svaj which she has worked with since 2002 together with Ola J. Svaj has taken different forms during the years. Svaj music cafe was a meeting point for the club scene in Stockholm 2002-2005. The caf hosted djs every day and there was also a record shop in the venue. SvajBAR was an electronic music bar during 2004-2005 and Svaj club was a techno club 2006-2007. She has also worked with occasional events in the name of Svaj such as Vajb, Svaj-2 years party, dj-battles, Svaj showcases at Mondo, Norbergfestival, Msli etc. During 2003-2005 Anaya was a member of the group Ana International Penetrator which was touring regulary at Swedish clubs and festivals (members: Anaya, Gavana, Sol and Anna Adeniji). She is also one of the founders of the well known female dj-crew in Sweden, Sister Sthlm. In 2006 she was one of the members in the Swedish Radio P3 Guld jury that selects the best dance music artist of Sweden.
During the years she has played warmups and alongside djs such as Joel Mull, Samuel L Session, Ellen Allien, Chris Liebing, Hkan Lidbo, Paizan, Tobias von Hofsten, Dj Aroma (a k a Discopunk), Mhonolink, Decoy Linzatti, Miss Dilemma, Pr Grindvik, Gavana, Mighty Thor, Andreas Tilliander, Mary Jane, John Dahlbck, DK7 and many more.
