It’s all about love and this is the motto that Alex applies to his gigs and productions “Made with Love”
Dj & Producer Alex began his adventure into music at the age of 14 when he got inside a record shop for the first time there was vinyl’s everywhere and he got so attracted by seeing the those vinyl’s turning on the turntables, and he got amazed by the sound that was coming out of the speakers, the Big Kick, the baseline made him realized how music will be so important on his life.
After years of friend’s parties and local clubs, at the age of 18 he decided to move to London to feel the real music movement. His debut was in 2003 at the Mass club in London were he played aside Mauro Picotto, Dave the Drummer and Chris Liberator.
Thereafter Alex started to play in different London clubs and getting gigs around Europe, but we wanted to know a little more about him so we went behind the scene of one of his residency of Musikonnekt London event:
When and where was your first gig in London?
My first gig was at the age of 18 in a bar/club called The Royal Exchange in Camden Town, I remember was a Sunday afternoon and was a beautiful summer day, people were happily dancing on the outside terrace and in no time the place was full up and I still remember the expressions of joy on my face seeing all those people dancing with my sound.
What is important for you as a dj?
For me it is very important the relation with the crowd to transmit happiness and create harmony on the dance floor, and of course to throw some good banging tunes.
What is your relation with music?
My relation with music is extraordinary infinite, when I get in the stage I feel like I’m blending with the music until we become one thing, every move becomes spontaneous and natural, that’s how I like to feel when I’m playing.
What is your favorite dj of all time that most inspired you?
It is quite hard to say because there a few djs that I really like and I get inspired, my debut night was with Mauro Picotto, for me one of the greatest techno djs of all time.
I got very influenced by him when I started, but then of course another one on top of the list is Plastikman Mr. Richie Hawtin with is Spastik track (AMAZING).
Any plans for the future?
We just setup our own label called “Authenticbit” with my dj friend Erri and also my business partner.
We are also implementing a music concept called “Musikonnekt” were will hosts different djs around the globe from very big names to emerging djs with one purpose…make a great Dance Floor!
