Born in 1983 and raised in Ljubljana, Alessio Leone appeared in 2003 at the peak of Slovenian House scene. He’s love for DJing goes back in 99’ when he was observing his friend DJ Damein spinning. Eventually Damien learned him and so Alessio started scrutenising DJ skills on turntables. In year 2002 he bought the turntables and mixer from his school friend and rising hip hop poet Trkaj just after finishing gymnasium. In the beginning he played techno more or less. After a while he started mixing it within other genres, realizing that he just couldn’t play one genre or style. Chilly&vocal, funky&jucy deep&proggy or tech/trancy – it’s just a question which party he’s playin on.
His first gigs where in the legendary Club Zakon in Vrhnika. Second bigger gig was in famous but nowadays unfortunately closed Club Casablanca in the cradle of Slovene electronic scene – the city of Celje where he took advantage of the situation and peeled his style. Soon he got invited to join organization KUD NRGHOUSE (nrghouse.org). After that Alessio Leone exploded and had gigs almost all over country – in legendary Club K4, Cvetli’arna, D’Place, now closed Club Lipa, Escape, Global, Bachus, Club Java hisa glasbe, KUD France Preseren, Club Simfonia, Club Soft, Club Heaven, Club Tivoli (Portoro?) Foresttech – Summer open air festival, club Energy on the island of Mali Loisnj (Croatia)
His current promotional set named “Fukish Kousich” is a statement of devotion to creating a musical sphere raging from disco to deep&jazzy, naked and rising House music
Latley Alessio Leone became one of few DJs in Slovenia that still play the real House music and avoid the mainstream, just ask the crowd!
