Adesse Versions first appeared in late 2012 on the Boiler Room, playing 100% his own tracks cut to dub plate. Two singles for the Prime Numbers label followed.
First was the deep afro-house gem ‘Baayi’. A summer 2013 anthem that has been become a mainstay of Derrick May sets, as well as a favourite of Larry Heard and Osunlade. This was followed by ‘Metachemistry’, a Carl Craig pick.
After a name change to Adesse Versions (due to confusion with a German singer called Adesse), his next single was Pressured. This Jhelisa sampling slice of dark house was a number one best selling vinyl at Juno. Also appearing in many best of 2013 lists.
Adesse Versions’ music is championed by a huge list of DJs, including Gilles Peterson, Benji B, Ame, DJ Qu, MANDY, Ashley Beedle, Pete Tong,
Rainer Trüby, Mr Scruff, Damian Lazarus, Doc Martin, DVS1, Ben Sims, DJ Hell and many others.
