H+ RELEASED NEW GLITCH EP TITLED "HIDDEN DIMENSIONS"
LISTEN TO "HIDDEN DIMENSIONS"
"Hidden Dimensions" is an intricate 10-track EP by mind altering glitch producer, H+. The album is a culmination of H+'s influences, which are rooted in the genres of dub, funk, reggae, and jazz. H+ has put together an eclectic compilation for his 10th studio album.
H+ strives to evoke deeper thinking with his 10th EP. It is a project he hopes will inspire listeners to see things in a new perspective as every element you hear is arranged to get your brain flowing and your body dancing. H+ really wants to make your feel good while you learn from past experiences.
"Every time" is the opening track on "Hidden Dimensions." It immediately captivates you with alluring vocals and a beautiful piano melody. Though the song foreshadows a change in energy to come, you never really expect the turn it takes towards the glitch side. It's a pleasant surprise when H+ switches it up as impeccably as he doesl
The title track, “Hidden Dimensions” has a laidback industrial vibe and a wonkiness that adds character to its cool conga sounding undertones. The percussion line on this tune really showcases H+'s attention to detail as a composer.
"Idiots" is my personal favorite. H+ brings guitar, violin and vocals into the mix on this one. He pairs them with his signature glitch and a dubby bassline and that's the recipe that gets me on the dancefloor.
H+ is the performance name of Malcolm Brian Swan, a music teacher with a Bachelors in performing the double bass and a Masters in Music Composition. who lives in Bermuda, a small group of islands 700 miles off of the east coast of the United States
He creates IDM glitch or brain dance brain dance music, a genre that combines aspects of musique concrete, art music that evolved from manipulating magnetic tape, and combines it with the drums and techniques used in dance music. Glitch is a sub genre that involves a lot of edits and the constant use of changing effects. H+ adds the twist of Funk, jazz, dub reggae, and deep dubstep.
Malcolm has been writing music under the name of H+ since the end of 2016. He has released 9EPs as H+ so the current which will be released in March EP will be number 10.
