23 February 2017 - - - The DJ List

Masayoshi limori is one of Japan's most promising producers and DJs on the bass scene right now.

With UZ and Quality Goods snapping up his new sound "Hello" for their recent compilation, we grabbed a few words with this exciting talent.

Tell us a little about you... where are you currently based? How long have you been making music?

I have been making music for 6 years in Japan. My career is started from composing trance/hard House music when I was just a junior high school student.

What do you enjoy most about being an artist? Do you enjoy playing shows or making music the most?

Everything. I enjoy time in the studio more than time spent outside, and if go outside, it is in order to go to the club!

What inspires you most creatively?

The desire to get my own way - that applies to everything in the
world.

What are three tracks you can’t live without?

Nhato vs Hedonist - "Raise"
Sampling Masters - "MEGA"
Rotterdam Nation & TaQ - "Stoic"

You’ve just appeared on the newest Quality Goods compilation... did you enjoy making “Hello”? Have your fans responded well to it?

I’m really glad to have released on the QGR compilation because I'm a huge fan of UZ! My friends were surprised that I made such a minimal song for QGR, though.

If you could work with any artist, who would you choose and why?

If i could make a song with Baauer... that was be cool, definitely. Me and him have the same musical roots - within trance/hardcore music.

What do you have coming up next in 2017? Are there any releases lined up you can share with us?

I want to release new music every month this year. I hope that doing so will lead to playing at festivals or bigger shows.

Where could we catch you playing out in the coming months?

I am playing at 2 or 3 shows every month in Tokyo... Come to Japan!
