When it comes to Spanish music festivals, most come in a couple different packages. Either they’ve got their big, mainstream David Guetta types, or they go the completely other way with earth-shattering hardstyle or deep, dark techno. Either way, Spanish music festivals are typically designed for the young, aggressive Spaniard who is ready to rage until 8:00 the following morning.
Well, we’ve got a new festival in the game that challenges all of that. Paraíso, meaning “paradise” in English, is striving to be just that - a chill, groovy, paradise along the road less traveled. The festival boasts three stages with comfortable resting areas, art installations, a gaming area, and a gastronomic area set to feature a healthy cuisine. The festival’s founders are committed to a new festival model that focuses on sustainability while delivering great music to attendees in a more comfortable, relaxed setting.
Paraíso will also feature a diverse lineup stacked with big names, like GUY GERBER, BLACK COFFEE, ACID PAULI, DAMIAN LAZARUS & THE ANCIENT MOONS, PETIT BISCUIT, DJ TENNIS, and many, many more. To view the full lineup, click here.
The festival will take place over two days, June 8th and 9th, on the UCM campus in Madrid. This year is Paraíso’s first edition, so we’re definitely excited to check it out and see if it lives up to its promises. I’m dreaming of soft tech house under some palm trees as we speak…
