When Wes reached the age of 10 he discovered electronic dance music while on a family vacation. His roots were based in classical music, so when he discovered this new style of music he was instantly intrigued. The sound of trance music seemed to bring him to a whole new level of talent. Starting off with a basic sequencer called Reason and a pair of old belt driven turntables he would venture off into a world that he would never imagine. As the years progressed he found him self pouring his heart and soul into his work.

At the age of 15 he found himself looking for a venue to share his music with others. This is where Wes would meet up with his future partner in production, Greg Corbett. During his search for a means to share his music, he stumbled upon Radio Freedom, small web based radio station out of the United Kingdom. He was able to secure a weekly slot on the radio station, giving Wes his means of getting the music he loved so much heard. While working at Radio Freedom he ran across another small time dj known as Greg Corbett. At first, Greg and Wes were just chat room friends sharing ideas about the industry and hopes and dreams. Little did they know these two were destined for a future in the field that neither could imagine.

The year 2003 rolled around and Wes found himself in a brand new world. After discovering djs such as Armin Van Buuren, DJ Tiesto, and Paul Van Dyk, he found himself working day and night to reach his dreams. Greg and Wes decided to start working together mid – 2003 under the production alias Johnson & Corbett. Now Wes found himself allies in the trance world. Working steadily on new productions he came across a certain sound that would score the Duo their first record deal. In late 2003, the two were offered a chance to remix a track for a good friend of theirs. So Wes grabbed at this opportunity and began to run with it. He threw in the sound that he had found, believing that it would be the right match for the remix. The duo eventually finished the remix and sent it to the record label the original was signed to.The A&R rep was quick to email Wes and Greg back. He signed the duo without any second thought.

In 2004 Wes found himself reaching his dreams day by day. Working with Greg the two were pumping out track after track. While working on a track that Wes felt wasn’t working right he discovered a riff of a few notes that he had written and decided to run with the melody. This was the beginning of the melody for Ibiza Sun. Wes and Greg began working non – stop on the track from June of 2004 on. As October rolled around Wes found himself stuck on where to go with the track. He asked his friend Alan Marcero to help with the track. All of sudden everything clicked and the track was finished. Eager to get the track out, he quickly emailed his A&R rep at the time. Little did he know, the track was about to become a dance floor legend. When the track was signed, Wes and Greg found themselves with a new opportunity in the industry.

As 2005 rolled around Wes found himself in a pleasant position with his life and dreams. Once again he found himself looking for a venue to get his music out.
